Serving

Our Mission: To connect all people to Christ through nurturing, building friendships, and serving.

We believe that God has gifted all his followers with gifts and talents meant to be used to serve Him and serve others. There are many different ways to serve God and others at Shepherd of the Valley. We would love to talk with you and help you find a place where you can use your gifts and talents to God's glory!

Task Groups

Task Groups are groups that do service in a variety of ways.  If you are looking for a way to both serve and find great community, task groups are for you.  For more information or to see a list of task groups, click on this link.

ServeFest

ServeFest is a bi-weekly ministry that meets at church on Saturday morning and then proceeds to designated spots to perform "random" acts of kindness to let people know that God loves them. Contact Pastor Steve Kramer by email or at 651.436.8248 if you would like to participate, or for more information.

Loaves and Fishes

Shepherd of the Valley serves the evening meal every 1st Wednesday (except March and September) at St. Matthews Catholic Church in West St. Paul. Volunteers gather at 3:15 pm to prepare the meal and 4:45 pm to serve the meal. A great opportunity to share Christ's love in a practical way. The coordinator of this program is Debbie Harvey, 651.436.7828.

Shepherd sponsors a group of folks who offer monthly worship services and visits to the residents of Boutwell's Landing in Stillwater (as well as other nursing home facilities in the valley). If you would like to participate you can contact Mary Reed at 651.274.5279

Meals on Wheels

Meals on Wheels is a service to the elderly and homebound, delivering hot meals to people in the Lower St. Croix Valley. It involves approximately an hour of time to pick up prepared meals in Bayport at 11:15 am and deliver them to 4-6 homes. Shepherd participates every 5th week. Contact Jill Wurm for more information.
